F@H Current Progress on Rainmeter

After spending ages looking for something to read the unitinfo.txt for Folding@Home on Rainmeter, I tried writing my own. Spent several hours on a version, which didn't seem to work for whatever reason. After re-writing it several times it now works and looks like the bottom section in the image. The top section I wrote previously, and is also on this blog.

Google Plus

Google Plus
Today I was invited onto Google plus. Some people say its the new Facebook. I'm slowly getting used to it. I must say it's rather clean looking, and isn't cluttered with ads, and text all over the place like Facebook is now. Yes Facebook having all the games and cack is what some people want, but some people just want a simple clean social interface without all the clutter right? Well i'm assuming that is what Google+ is here to do. Hopefully, it goes well!

I am out in Qatar, Doha again. The weather is very warm, 39 degrees, even in the evenings. Some work may be done to this site over the next month, but then again, they might not.

There is a lot of jobs going out here at the minute, Dell are currently employing at a reasonable wage.

Hope all is well for people, and that you are having a good summer. Enjoy it!

A Sad Day for the Internet

The PROTECT IP Act. A U.S. Senate committee has unanimously approved a controversial bill that would allow the U.S. Department of Justice to seek court orders requiring search engines and Internet service providers to stop sending traffic to websites accused of infringing copyright.

Will it really help to stop piracy? No.

Will it just cause more hassle for internet businesses and some unnecessary lawsuits? Probably.

More Updates

A few more updates to the site. There have been some more updates to this site, these include individual entry links. Every news entry now has its own id, making easy for bookmarks (if you wanted to bookmark that is) finding things and linking entries elsewhere.

Around this I have been playing 'Portal 2' by Valve. Completedd the game in 5 hours for multiplayer, unsure on singleplayer, but it's completed. Just a few achievements left to get. This game is just as good as Portal 1 was. Buy it!

PS3 Reflow

Today my friend bought a heat gun in attempt to reflow his PS3. He got the cheapest heatgun he could find (£18) and dismantled his ps3. After spending about 8 minutes applying heat all over teh board, then focusing on the CPU and GPU we then had to wait 20 minutes for it to cool down.
After waiting forever, and faffing about re-assembling the console, we plugged it in.
Yellow/Orange light was gone! It powered up! Second time booting the graphics went rather screwed up, but since then, the...

Ace of Spades

Ace of Spades.com Is odd, 99% of the time I cannot join servers, several people are experiencing this. I have tried creating my own server in various locations, Work servers, at home, all with port forwarding only to receive "Server Connection Failed:it's either full or misconfigured." when I try to join my servers. After Googling for hours I still haven't found results.
